Paulo Morello

After graduating in Jazz Performing, Composition and Arrangment at the Universities of Performing Arts in Germany and New York, Paulo went down to Rio de Janeiro in 2002 with his old fellow Kim Barth where they set up their Bossa Nova Legends project. Together with the production of the CDs “Morello & Barth present Bossa Nova Legends”, he led a three year tour with legendary singers Johnny Alf, Leny Andrade and Pery Ribeiro, hitting the major Jazz festivals and Concert Halls in Europe and South America (Queen Elisabeth Hall, London; Teatro Rival, Rio de Janeiro; Verona Jazzfestival, Italy). The success of the first project earned Morello further production contracts and tours with Jimmy Smith, Larry Coryell, Roberta Gambarini, Viviane de Farias, Randy Brecker,  Paul Kuhn, Ivan Lins, Philip Catherine, Greetje Kauffeld, Jimmy Woode, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, BR, NDR,  WDR and ZDF to name a few. Lately Paulo has been busy touring with “Night Of Jazz Guitars”, a guitar quartet with Larry Coryell, Helmut Kagerer and Andreas Dombert. Besides his work in production and performing, he teaches both Jazz and Latin music at the University of Music of Nürnberg, Germany.

Tizian Jost

Born into a musical family he received his first piano lessons at the age of six. Later on he also studied church organ - which made him feel quiet comfortly on the Hammond B3 - and violoncello. First professional appearances as a church organ player at the age of 13. From the age of 14 gaining interesst in learning jazz-piano and thus private studies with Paul Grabowsky, Pepsi Auer and Mal Waldron. His influences then were mainly the great players of the past like Bud Powell, Bill Evans, Tommy Flannagan. In 1985 he moved to Munich and became a professional jazz-piano player.
From the age of 21 (1987 to 1991) he was part of the house rhythm section in the legendary Jazzclub Allotria, where he gained experience playing with such great musicians as Mark Murphy, Dusko Goykovich, Tony Lakatos and many more . In the same year he founded a duo with tenor-sax-player Gunther Klatt and toured South Amerika and India besides from playing many important festivals (Berlin, Leverkusen, New Delhi) and recording for the famous Enja/Tutu Label („Live In Mexico“).
Tizian Jost is one of the busiest sidemen in the Southgerman jazz scene and has created a style that reflects the tradition of Hardbop as much as the resources from his own European heritage and South- American piano styles. One of his favourites is the music of Brazil.
He can be heard on ca. 30 CD‘s an is a member of a huge number of band projects. His recordings as a leader besides „Afternoon In Rio“ include four trio recordings for the Japanese record company „Atelier Sawano“.
Since 1995 he teaches jazz-piano at the former Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium which became a part of the Munich Academy of Music and Theatre in 2008. Many of his former students became established members of the musical scenes.

Erivelton Silva

Natural de Brasília e filho do grande baterista Nelsinho, Erivelton iniciou sua carreira em 1983 tocando em bares e em casas noturnas, caminho natural de quase todos os músicos profissionais. Na noite brasiliense começou sua parceria com a cantora Rosa Passos com quem, por muitos anos, dividiu o palco e vários discos.
Em 2000, após vários convites, se muda definitivamente para o Rio de Janeiro buscando novos horizontes em um mercado de trabalho ampliado. A partir daí, começa uma nova fase em sua carreira, tendo a oportunidade de mostrar seu estilo inconfundível trabalhando com o primeiro time da Música Popular Brasileira, em performances ao vivo e em gravações com artistas como Chico Buarque, Ed Motta, João Bosco, Toninho Horta, Márcio Montarroyos, Leny Andrade, João Donato, Roberto Menescal, Ivan Lins, Danilo Caymmi, Raul de Souza, Milton Nascimento, Fátima Guedes, Gilson Peranzzetta, Hélio Delmiro, Torquato Mariano, Jorge Vercílo, Margareth Menezes, Maria Gadú, Arismar do Espírito Santo, Áurea Martins, Simone Guimarães, Leila Pinheiro, entre outros.
Desenvolvendo uma sonoridade totalmente peculiar e pessoal, é requisitado para workshops em várias Universidades nos EUA e participa de gravações e festivais de jazz, ao redor do mundo, ao lado de artistas como Paquito de Rivera, Elvin Jones, Kenny Rankin e Charito Filipinas.
Atualmente integra os grupos Speed Samba Jazz, Banda Sambop e faz parte da banda da cantora Leny Andrade.
